Cross Your Fingers

Garrett hopped off the Pepsi Olympic float in downtown Detroit and into a cab. He's on his way to the airport with high hopes of grabbing an earlier flight back to Milwaukee. Will he make it? We sure hope so. If not, he'll still make it for turkey. It sure would be nice to have him three hours earlier, though.

I'm sure he'll post an update by early tomorrow.

Enjoy your families and feasts, all.

Mark, Garrett's dad

I'm currently checked in for the early flight back to Milwaukee...
However, even though I'm sitting at the gate there is no telling what will end up happening. Hopefully we board and depart ontime.

I just want to get back and see my family:)

Well everything is not going smoothly...

The plane had a hydraulic leak so we had to get off. It is a four hour fix. They got us another plane and we are currently waiting to board the new plane.

I will still probably get home earlier than I would have on my later flight.

No worries. Its no ones fault. Can't get caught up on the little things...just gunna relax and watch Americans stuff their faces with crappy airport food haha:)

Well, that's good you will prolly be home sooner that's cool. Good thing your not on a crappy plane though. Agreed it's no ones fault it happens....yup very true. You crack me up but man that would really make me hungry watching them eat... :)--hahaha yes crappy is def. the word....

That sucks Garrett that the plane had a hydraulic leak. Hope that you make home safe and sound just in time for a good home cooked Thanksgiving meal.

Oh thank goodness! I hope you can get home in time for dinner and have a FANTASTIC Thanksgiving!!! If you think to give us a word and let us know if you got their smoothly - I was actually worried about whether or not you'd make it home on time, because we finally got snow out here and I figured you'd probably get some in Detroit - was praying your flights didn't get grounded! :)

Have a GREAT thanksgiving and a GREAT time with your family!

Mark - thanks for the update! :)

Happy Thanksgiving to all commenters and readers as well!!

Glad you got home on time. I'm assuming you are currently stuffing your face... with all healthy food, I'm sure! ;=)

Dinner at Perilla was all I hoped for. Full report on my blog later tonight. Just got in the door and I, um, need to put some looser clothes on!

Yes, he made it...picked up grandma on his way to Thanksgiving dinner. Ate a lot but not too much. I hope your day was as much fun as ours.

And now, he's off to practice then weights.

Yay! I'm SO glad he made it!! (Or you made it, depending on if it's Garrett or Mark that reads this XD)

I'm glad Thanksgiving went well, too - mine was great!

Have fun at practice - I can't imagine it'd be easy after a Thanksgiving feast DX, but again, so glad you all got to spend Thanksgiving together! There's nothing more important than family :)

I'm just happy to be home...

This year I was pretty careful not to completely stuff myself at the dinner table like in years past.

Ah it's soooo easy to indulge yourself too much at the dinner table. This year my Grandma did all the cooking and boy I was stuffed with in the 3 plate and I am like I am saving this...lol.

Home is definitely where the heart is and there's no place like it!!
